Ottawa, ON, April 9 2018: CPCA is holding its 105th Annual Conference and AGM in Toronto, Ontario on May 23-24, 2018 at the Marriott Eaton Centre Downtown Toronto Hotel. This year’s theme is “Challenges of a Sustainable Industry” with leading speakers from industry, government, and organizations focused on innovation and sustainability such as GreenCentre Canada, American Coatings Association, NSERC-CANLAK Industrial Research Chair for Responsible Finishing, Centre for Advanced Coating Technology, and the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority. These will present the latest challenges, trends and opportunities facing the Canadian paint and coatings industry.
“CPCA addresses challenges that impact our valued members and take actions that ultimately sustain the Canadian coatings industry,” commented Gary LeRoux, CPCA’s President and CEO. “CPCA members already deliver highly sustainable and functional products to their customers in all three sectors: architectural paints, industrial finishes and automotive coatings. The conference will address some of the new coatings trends and innovations, while examining the future of paint and coatings in a rapidly changing industry, both in Canada and around the globe.”
In keeping with tradition, CPCA will recognize several individuals this year for their contributions to the Canadian coatings industry. Mr. LeRoux said, “The association’s long history of working closely with established member companies has shown the critical role played by individuals in helping advance the interests of the industry and it’s important that these individuals be recognized.” Eleven outstanding individuals will be recognized at the annual Chair Awards Dinner held this year at the venerable Hockey Hall of Fame as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The annual conference provides an excellent networking opportunity for those in the industry to come together and share experiences.
