Trust & Loyalty

Association networking is nice and CPCA provides such opportunities, but results are better! CPCA is focused on getting results for its members. Focused advocacy and targeted regulatory work is critical for one of the most heavily regulated sectors in Canada. In 2015 the federal government reported there were 131,754 federal requirements imposing an administrative and regulatory burden on businesses. Currently 500 of the 1500 substances being assessed in phase 3 of the federal government’s Chemicals Management Plan are used in thousands of coatings products. These assessments could lead to severe use restrictions, tougher regulations or outright bans.  The potential impacts could severely limit product performance customers demand. Dont get painted into a corner!

CPCA’s work focuses on issues that impact paint and coatings in all segments, including adhesives and sealants, automotive refinish, coil, architectural/decorative, general industrial and OEM, marine, packaging and containers, powder, transportation, machinery and wood.
