After producing valuable results in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the study will now analyze the financial and societal effects of corrosion on six industry sectors representing 36.5 percent of Canada’s gross domestic product (GDP). Using data from the study, NII will produce a report identifying actionable solutions to increase public safety and reduce costs nationwide. The six industry sectors include manufacturing, mining, energy, transportation, marine, and municipal, with at least 120 to 150 respondents set to participate. “We are very excited to bring this study to Canada, and we look forward to working with leading representatives from the most effected industries,” said Monica Hernandez, NII’s country manager for the IMPACT Canada Study and CEO of Infinity Growth Corp. (Vancouver, B.C.). In other regions, the data has been instrumental in the development of public policy, standards, and corrosion management planning.
