To address increasing public concerns regarding plastic usage, BASF is striving to reduce plastic waste, conserve raw materials, and maximize the potential of materials during use.
BASF will be showcasing a large number of innovations to achieve this goal from October 17-21 at the 28th Fakuma in Friedrichshafen, Germany. BASF’s portfolio offers products that are mass-balanced plastics that pursue two goals at once:: resource conservation through the use of circular raw materials instead of fossil raw materials and a reduced CO2 footprint. A range of innovative eMobility applications will be showcased, including charging solutions, high-voltage connectors, and bus bar holders. In focus as well are battery components meeting high-performance and safety standards during normal use but also in the case of damage or accidents. Additionally, chemical recycling efforts imply the use of plastic waste that is difficult to recycle, such as end-of-life tires or mixed plastics, thus keeping it in the material cycle. Fossil raw materials are thus replaced and saved. Further information on BASF’s other innovations is available here:
