CPCA has a rich history of recognizing excellence. For the past three decades, the paint and coatings industry has been honouring key people who have made significant contributions to the Canadian paint and coatings industry. The awards are presented each year at CPCA's Annual Conference. CPCA has made it a priority to acknowledge those who have spent a significant part of their work lives to improve the industry in different ways. You can see the list of recipients of those awards below. Please nominate those you believe should be considered for these annual awards by completing the nomination form provided here. Past recipients of the awards are noted below.
Roy Kennedy Award
This award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to CPCA and who epitomizes Roy Kennedy’s dedication to the Association, its members and the paint and coatings industry. The recipient must still be very active in the industry and in CPCA. Only one individual can receive this award each year from CPCA’s Board Chair.
Industry Achievement Award
This award is presented to an individual or an organization that has demonstrated exceptional achievement in advancing the interests of the industry and/or the Association. Achievement may have been demonstrated in the areas of long-term sector sustainability, stewardship and environmental practices, impact on the regulatory framework or other relevant areas of contribution. Candidates may or may not be members of CPCA.
Industry Distinction Award
This award is presented to an individual who has made a continued, long-term contribution to the Association at the national or local level. This individual should have recently retired or be near retirement. One or several individuals may receive this award each year. The Board of Directors will determine the recipients based on the nominations received by CPCA.
