Ottawa, ON, April 10, 2018: The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) is pleased to announce this year’s recipient of its highest honour, the Roy Kennedy Award. The Award will be presented to Pete Wilkinson at the Chair’s Dinner at the Hockey Hall of Fame for his contribution to the industry.
Pete Wilkinson has been a fixture in the Canadian finishing and coatings industry for many years. Previously working as publisher of a coatings publication for Rogers Media before launching the Canadian Finishing and Coatings Magazine (CFCM), which has become a go to resource for many in the industry.
CPCA presents this award each year to an individual who epitomizes Roy Kennedy’s dedication to the paint and coatings industry and their outstanding volunteer service to the association and its members.
“Pete is tireless in his efforts to cover all aspects of the coatings industry and I’m very pleased to see him receive this recognition,” commented Gary LeRoux, CPCA President and CEO. “Pete’s work clearly represents the main source for coverage of the companies, the people and the events across the full spectrum of the coatings industry.”
Former recipients of the Award include Andy Doyle, President of the American Coatings Association; Dale Constantinoff, President and CEO of General Paint Corporation; Andre Buisson, President of Société Laurentide; and Beauti-tone’s Chief Executive, Darrin Noble.
