Assets and personnel operating in the energy industry face significant risks related to corrosion, fire and heat. Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine recently addressed each of these threats and a variety of advanced solutions to combat them during the Company’s first-ever U.S.-based customer seminar focused on protective coatings for energy industry assets.
“Corrosion, fire, and heat represent significant threats to the safety, efficiency, and overall productivity of energy exploration, production, and distribution operations. Lives, facilities, and profits may be in danger if these threats aren’t appropriately mitigated,” said Mark Rubio, Energy Business Manager, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine. “Informing an engaged base of energy industry professionals was an opportune way to bring these important stakeholders up to speed on the latest solutions designed to keep facilities and operations running smoothly for the long haul.”
The “CUI Mitigation to Elimination” seminar was recently held on May 24-25, 2023 in Houston, which covered best practices for addressing corrosion under insulation, passive fire protection, and thermal insulation with coatings technologies.
