The General Industrial Coatings division of Sherwin-Williams, through its DesignHouse, has released Perspectives, the third edition of its industrial color trend forecast. The report emphasizes three forward-looking colour collections, active 3-5 years from now, meant to inform and inspire industrial and CMF designers.

Humanity and technology evolve together in Fast Forward. These spaces collide through powerful color shifting hues and multidimensional effects that bridge the gap between the physical and ethereal world.

On the commercial side of things, the company released its 2022 Colormix Forecast in August. The collection, dubbed MODE, features 40 hues in four palettes. The MODE palettes (Method, Opus, Dreamland, Ephemera) aim to illustrate transition and experiencing “a new way of being beautiful.” The full palettes can be found here.
In September, the company announced its 2022 color of the year. Described as a nourishing and sophisticated gray-green, the company reported that Evergreen Fog SW 9130 was just the beginning of a new era of nostalgic mid-tones.
