CPCA Webinar: Product Stewardship in Ontario: Transition to the New Waste Free Ontario Act in 2020

There has been tremendous churn in the management of waste in Ontario as it relates to the evolution of regulations under the new Waste Free Ontario Act, the ongoing transition from the old Waste Diversion Act, the establishment of the new oversight authority called the Resource Recovery and Productive Authority and more. How will this impact the obligated stewards for paint and coatings with 98 percent of the volume sold by CPCA members? Will costs related to oversight increase as RPRA seeks to have all register under the new Act? Will there be more costs related to oversight and compliance now that the operating costs of RPRA have increased fourfold since being created two years ago?
